These Business Terms (“Terms”) apply to companies, brands, and professionals (“Business”, “you”, “your”) that are listed, verified, or otherwise use services provided by BestRated.ng (“BestRated”, “we”, “our”, “us”). By claiming a profile, responding to reviews, or requesting verification, you agree to these Terms.
Businesses may be listed by users or by BestRated for discovery purposes.
You may claim your business profile by providing accurate information and proof of ownership.
You are responsible for keeping your business information accurate and up to date.
Reviews are written by users and reflect their personal experiences.
You may respond to reviews, but responses must be professional, respectful, and truthful.
You may not:
Post fake reviews for your own business.
Pay or reward customers in exchange for positive reviews.
Intimidate or harass users to remove negative reviews.
BestRated will not remove reviews simply because they are negative. Reviews may only be removed if they violate our [Community Review Policy].
Businesses may request physical verification.
A “Verified” badge means BestRated has confirmed that your business physically exists and operates at the time of inspection.
Verification does not guarantee service quality, legal compliance, or future reliability.
You agree to provide access, documents, or evidence required for verification.
BestRated may offer additional services (e.g., advertising, enhanced visibility, premium verification).
Fees, payment terms, and cancellation policies will be provided separately.
Non-payment may result in suspension or removal of services.
Businesses must not:
❌ Post or encourage fake reviews.
❌ Attempt to bribe, coerce, or threaten customers into changing reviews.
❌ Misuse BestRated to promote illegal, fraudulent, or misleading activity.
❌ Infringe on the rights of others (e.g., intellectual property, privacy).
You retain ownership of any logos, photos, or content you upload.
By uploading content, you grant BestRated a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display and use it in connection with your listing.
BestRated provides its services “as is”.
We do not guarantee that reviews, ratings, or verification will improve your reputation or business performance.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BestRated is not liable for any loss of revenue, reputation damage, or indirect damages arising from reviews or use of our platform.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BestRated, its employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from:
Your business operations.
False or misleading information you provide.
Violations of these Terms.
BestRated may suspend or remove your business profile or verification if you violate these Terms.
We may also unverify businesses that no longer meet our requirements.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes will be resolved under the jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.
